We are proposing to excavate and uncover the stream, and construct terraces down to the water to allow a connection back to the river. This is in connection with the works the city of Sharpsburg is proposing to create a pedestrian and bicycle access to the site from 16th Street. Daylighting Seitz Run would restore a long-lost ecological resource, contribute to reducing flooding in Sharpsburg, and create an amenity for visitors.
